Salam Alikom Doctor,
First of all, I’d like to thank you A LOT for saving my life and for showing me abundant of opportunities. As you read this, you will know how much you could change people and how much you could add to the world.
The story begins 2 weeks prior to my final exams of the final year of
high school. Mom asked me to watch a program of yours (I can’t remember the name of it) about exams’ preparation. You showed some exams’ tips and whatnot. So I thought “why not, give it a try!” and YES, it totally worked. It really worked, from a student who failed the second year in high school to a high school graduate with 90.59%!!!!.
Most teachers, friends and even my parents were shocked! my dad was even planning to send me out of the country for a cheap undergraduate degree because he knew that I’d not make it for the scholarship, and now his son has made it up to 90.59%!.
The story doesn’t stop there, consdiently, couple of weeks right after the final exams, you came to my hometown (Jeddah) and I showed up for your free lecture. And here you go again, you convinced us that we aren’t born to follow our destiny, rather we could create our destiny. We must not give in to the word “impossible” and we actually have the choice to make things happen.
Your words kept hitting my head until I decided to change. But change to where? from where? how can I be a better person? and another maybe million questions were up at my head. So I dedicated myself to learn and improve deliberately.
And soon enough, I became known as a knowledgeable man among my friends and family. In the age of 20, I started to learn english and read english books. And now, I have over 150 english books from all sort of fields in my library, moreover, so many english native speakers can’t believe that I learned english at the age of 20. They used to say, I must have born or lived long time in an english speaking country which had not really happened.
Finally, right now, I have just turned in my PhD research proposal in leadership and knowledge sharing. I’m almost done with my masters (master of innovation management) in one of the top universities in the world (#38 worldwide) and soon enough people may call me Doc!.
It’d not be illogic if I said it’s all came from you, because certainly it’s from god and I learned much more from other sources too. However, I’m here to confirm that you Sir have triggered the begin of the journey and it’s been fantastically progressing.
